When you do an internet query for \u201ccat\u201d, up pops a variety of cat memes, scenes, and videos of cats doing cat things: cats hopping in and out of boxes and bags, cats playing pianos, cats riding Roombas. You\u2019ll even find a cat that is now a handbag (true story). But mostly, it’s just cats lounging around being cats with people wondering what is going on in the mind of a cat.<\/p>\n\n\n

When you look in your freezer, you do not (hopefully) find a cat. If Meghan Flather has her druthers, you will find healthy freezies in a multitude of flavors that appeal to every man, woman, and child.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Sunday Cat freezie can\u2019t help but be compared to the ubiquitous childhood favorite, the Otter Pop. Tearing off the top with your teeth was a beloved back-in-the-day summer ritual \u2013 and truth be told, most of us would still pop one if an Otter Pop pop-op presented itself. This occurred to Flather one sunny Southern California day: \u201cI was driving along and the thought just popped into my head. I was just craving something frozen and fruity, but not the typical sugary popsicle.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe\u2019re the real deal. In fact, you could say our freezies are purr-fect.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Realizing that when it\u2019s hot out, sweat is inevitable and people typically reach for water to hydrate and for Gatorade to replace lost electrolytes. So, she wondered if there might be a market for something a little more fun and refreshing that could appeal to a wide audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When asked if there\u2019s anything else like her product, Flather says \u201cThe only thing remotely like it would be Pedialyte, but the taste of a Sunday Cat freezie is way better. Plus, it won\u2019t remind you of being ill.\u201d She goes on to say, \u201cThey\u2019re\u00a0made with real fruit juice and whole food electrolytes from coconut water and sea salt without\u00a0added sugar, artificial colors, or preservatives,\u00a0and they don’t contain GMOs. They\u2019re gluten free and vegan too.\u00a0We\u2019re the real deal. In fact, you could say our freezies are purr-fect.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In meeting Flather, you quickly realize that she is one go-get-em kinda person. Disarmingly charming, she is also firing on all cylinders necessary to take a dream from spark to fruition and do so in a way that is au courant and tremendously appealing. The visual theme of Sunday Cats marketing is mood lightening\u2013irreverent, whimsical, and a just a tad silly \u2013 a scroll through the social media feeds and Sunday Cats website<\/a> will have you grinning like the Cheshire Cat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flather says \u201cIt was so important to me to travel, to see and experience the world. I tend to be pretty introverted so I knew that getting out of my comfort zone was necessary to grow and develop.\u201d Clearly a clever woman, living and working in New York City for a spell then heading to Los Angeles where she now resides, she honed the acumen to be a well-rounded, savvy businessperson. What she can do well, she does herself, for everything else, she hires well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When asked where she sees her freezies being enjoyed, Flather captures the mood perfectly: \u201cA Sunday Cat lounges by the pool on a sunny afternoon.
